Rev. Laura (Lori) Tisher was called to First Congregational Church on January 6, 2008.  Rev. Tisher came to First Church after serving the United Church of Christ, locally, nationally and globally. She has served as a Global Mission Intern in Swaziland, Africa, doing youth ministry with Kukhany'okusha Zion Church, the UCC's partner church in Swaziland.  She has also served as Pastoral Associate at St. Paul's Community Church, UCC in Cleveland, Ohio, and most recently was on the national staff of the United Church of Christ, working with the Health and Wholeness Advocacy Office of Wider Church Ministries.  She was ordained August 14, 2005, at Trinity UCC in Wooster, Ohio.   

Rev. Tisher received a Masters of Divinity from Eden Theological Seminary (St. Louis, Missouri) in 2005, has studied Nonprofit Management at Case Western Reserve University (Cleveland, Ohio) and received a Bachelor's degree from Wittenberg University (Springfield, Ohio) in 2001, with departmental honors in French.
