Facility Rental
First Church has a variety of spaces for rent.
An ideal setting for meetings and special events
First Church is an open and affirming congregation. As such, we open our doors to the community for meetings, dances, wedding receptions, rehearsals, and music groups—provided the event or group does not oppose the basic tenets of the church’s constitution. First Church is a non-smoking environment.

Washington Gladden
Social Justice Park
The Washington Gladden Social Justice Park, the first park in America dedicated to social justice, is located on First Church grounds. Washington Gladden served as the seventh pastor of First Church and is considered by many “The Prophet of the Social Gospel.” He is an important and much-celebrated figure in Christianity still today. He also made significant contributions to the City of Columbus. The park’s purpose is to celebrate social justice achievements while building and strengthening our community to continue working toward a just world for all.
