Children's Faith Formation
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” (Matthew 19:14)
Infants through age 4 are welcome in our nursery during the 9 and 11 a.m. services, as well as the 10 a.m. Faith Formation time. The nursery is always staffed with 2 paid and screened workers as well as screened volunteers.
Children age 4- second grade are welcome to join “Worship Connections” in the Alma Keeler Children’s Library, located on the 2nd floor of the Education Wing, during the sermon. During this time they will have a short lesson and activity, and will return to worship once the sermon concludes.
Faith Formation Classes:
Our Faith Formation classes are led by volunteers who are excited to share their faith journey with little ones. Teachers use an age-appropriate lesson plan that includes a story, a small discussion, and an activity.
Classes are divided by age and include:
- Preschool
- Kindergarten and First Grades
- Second and Third Grades
- Fourth and Fifth Grades
- Educational classes take place on Sundays — the first Sunday after Labor Day through the second Sunday in May.
